The European Regulators Group for Audiovisual Media Services met on the 21st October 2014 in Brussels for the second time. ERGA adopted a statement on the need for regulatory independence.

On 13 October 2014, the National Broadcasting Council was presented with a "Code of Good Practice on the Protection of Minors in VOD services". The document was signed by six on-demand service providers, who commit themselves to taking effective technical measures to prevent minors from accessing harmful content. The Code was prepared in cooperation with KRRiT by the Internet Employer Association IAB Polska.

On 8 August 2014 the National Broadcasting Council, through the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Poland to the European Union, submitted notification of a Polish list of major events to the European Commission, in accordance with Article 14 paragraph 2 of the Audiovisual Media Services Directive 2010/13/EU. The list proposed in the notification includes both events defined in Article 20b of the Broadcasting Act as well as events defined in a draft regulation by the Council.

On the 8th of July 2014 the National Broadcasting Council adopted a position, in which it recommends implementation of a document titled “Minimum technical and exploitation requirements for digital sound broadcasting DAB+ receiver designed for Poland” in production, import and commercial distribution of DAB+ reception devices on the Polish market.

On the 4-5th June 2014 in Krakow the I International Conference on Public Media "Public media in the service of democracy: Polish experience compared to Europe” took place, organized by the Jagiellonian University together with the National Broadcasting Council. Conference received the patronage from the President of Poland, Bronisław Komorowski.
