Sławomir Rogowski – born on 29 April 1957 in Kielce. Graduate of the Faculty of Journalism and Political Science of the University of Warsaw with the specialty in Radio and Television (1982). During his studies, he was manager of the Hybrydy student’s club.
From 1990 till 1995 held the function of director for organisational affairs of the Organisational Team of the Committee for Cinematography. In 1995-1999 created and conducted Film Festival “Lato Filmów” in Kazimierz Dolny, followed by a function of Director of the Film Agency of TVP S.A. until 2002.
As a script writer and an independent film and television producer, he completed several documentary movies, programmes on culture and reportages. After a period of work at TVP S.A., he assumed a position of a management board member of the Polish National Lottery (Totalizator Sportowy). Later, he ran his own film production business; he produced amongst others “Matka Teresa od kotów”, a Polish feature movie awarded in Poland and abroad. Member of the Polish and European Film Academy for many years; he was also chairman of the Auditing Committee of the National Chamber of Film Producers.
