Report from the National Broadcasting Council (KRRiT) on its activity in 2018 accepted by the Polish Sejm

During a plenary session on 3 July 2019, the Sejm of the Republic of Poland accepted the Report on the activity of the National Broadcasting Council in 2018, along with the Information on the basic problems faced by the broadcasting industry.
The Report by KRRiT on its activity in 2018 contains information on the implementation of KRRiT’s statutory tasks as defined in the Constitution of the Republic of Poland and in Article 6(1) and (2) of the Broadcasting Act. These tasks include, in particular, licence procedures, the division of proceeds from subscription fees among the public service broadcasting units, supervision of the activities of broadcasters, consideration of complaints and requests, the issuance of regulations as implementing legislation, and international cooperation.
The Information on the basic problems faced by the broadcasting industry in 2018 presents the trends and processes occurring on the market of audiovisual media in 2018, an analysis of their financial situation and a survey of the popularity of media services.
