Increase in number of TV and radio subscribers

Since January of 2017, the NBC has noted an increase in the number of registered subscribers. As of the 30th of April 2017, 6.9 million subscribers had registered radio and television receivers, including 3.5 subscribers whose fees have been waived. Of the remaining 3.4 million, 1.4 million subscribers paid subscription fees in a timely manner.
Until the end of 2016, a consistent drop in the number of persons registering radio and television receivers and paying subscription fees had been noted. Since January of 2017, this number has grown slightly by 14,041 persons, meaning a growth of 0.20%. The number of persons who pay subscription fees in a timely manner has also increased by 155,151 persons, an increase of 7.33%. There has also been an increase of more than 6% (compared to the previous year) in the number of persons who pay subscription fees for a full year in advance.
As of the 19th of May 2017, the NBC had distributed public radio and television companies proceeds from licensing fees amounting to
398.8 million PLN.
This is 62.8% of the amount forecast for 2017, which gives
31.8 million PLN than predicted for this part of the fiscal year.
