NBC Annual Report for 2016

In accordance with the Broadcasting Act dated 31 March 2017, the National Broadcasting Council presented to the Sejm, the Senate, and the President of the Republic of Poland an Annual Report on activities for 2016, as well as a document outlining information on the basic problems of radio and television broadcasting. These documents were also submitted to the Prime Minister and chairpersons of the relevant Sejm and Senate committees.
The NBC 2016 Annual Report provides information on how the statutory aims of the NBC have been achieved, including information on concessions proceedings, monitoring of broadcasters’ operations, distribution of subscription fees, international cooperation, and issuing resolutions as the executive body of relevant legislation.
The document which accompanies the Report, entitled Information on the basic problems of radio and television broadcasting, unanimously approved by resolution number 34/2017 dated 16 March 2017, includes an analysis of phenomena and current trends in audiovisual markets.
