New mode of procedure and the essential information of a licence application

The National Broadcasting Council has published a regulation amending the regulation specifying the essential information of a licence application and the detailed procedure for awarding or revoking broadcasting licences.This amendment is aimed at aligning the document to the legal regulations that have recently changed.

The regulation specifying the essential information of a licence application and the detailed procedure for awarding or revoking broadcasting licences was amended last time on 4 January 2007.

Since that time, it was amongst others the Broadcasting Act, the Act on freedom of establishment and the National Court Register Act which have been amended. The National Broadcasting Council has amended the regulation specifying the essential information of a licence application and the detailed procedure for awarding or revoking broadcasting licences thus aligning it to the current regulations. Moreover, the changes are to simplify the licencing procedure and provide more precise provisions.

The Regulation was published in the Journal of Laws on 20 December 2012. It came into force on the day of publishing.
